I decided to try these grill tongs because I wanted extra reach when grilling on a large family barbecue. They seemed perfect for keeping my hands safe from the heat, especially when managing a hearty portion of meat over hot coals.Pros & Cons:Having used them a few times now, I’m quite pleased with my purchase. The length gives me flexibility around a big BBQ without putting my arm in harm’s way. The locking mechanism is smooth and simple, making it convenient to store in my kitchen drawer or hang on a hook.On the flip side, there were a couple of surprises. Their considerable length makes them a bit awkward to store in a cramped, everyday kitchen drawer. Additionally, while marketed as having wood handles, they feel sturdier and smoother than typical wood, leading me to question if there’s some strong plastic involved.
