I’ve bought a couple packs of these hangers for suspending LED light bars in tents. The hangers are easy to deploy, simply needing to clipped onto something in the overhead and unraveled. I made small loops on the poles in the top of the tent with zip ties and then slide the pulley hooks into those loops to hang. The hook for the light can then be connected to raise and lower it.The adjustment usually works well, although I have a couple of backwards ones and one that does not work at all. The way it works is that there’s a small release level on the pulley that allows the hook on the load to be lowered, since it is normally locked in place. However, the backwards ones only release the loose end of the rope, which is normally already loose and can be pulled in order to ratchet the other end in. The end with the load on the backwards ones is not heavy enough to actuate the ratcheting function, although I have accidentally lowered them a couple of times when bumping the tops. The broken hanger simply doesn’t allow the rope to move either way.Recommended. These hangers are a cost-effective means of hanging light loads that require variable height over time. The reliability of them is inconsistent but even the ones that don’t work right are usually usable, although it can be confusing when adjusting multiple when some don’t work the same way. [...]
